Way of the Hunter 2 Rifle Selector

If you are wondering which gun to use in Way of the Hunter 2, you’ve come to the right place. Firearm selection has a bit more optionality than the first game, as not only are firearms level-locked, but animals have different recommended impact energies when using slug vs. rifle rounds. So far, only the early access version of the game is available, and it does not include all the animals nor all the firearms available in the game.

That being said, I have created a spreadsheet that charts the recommended hit energy for the different big game animals available in the demo, on which I superimposed the 50m to 300m (55yd to 328 yd) hit energies for the different firearms available in the game. Both rifle and slug ammunition are available to select, though until the full game is available there are some placeholders. If no data loads for the firearm you selected, that’s because there is no data yet available, or I have not obtained the noted firearm.
