Four versions of CAD files (available in both .dxf and .dwg formats) are included in the .zip file you will be sent, which detail the cut lines for a standard 4ft x 8ft or 4ft x 10ft steel sheet:
46” long pieces, 736” or 61’-4” total length per 4’x8’ sheet
94” long pieces, 752” or 62’-8” total length per 4’x8’ sheet
46” long pieces, 920” or 76’-8” total length per 4’x10’ sheet
118” long pieces, 944” or 78’-8” total length per 4’x10’ sheet
These different piece lengths give you the flexibility needed for installation. The 94” or 118” lengths are preferable when you have a flat length of edging to install (minimal to no slope with relatively soft ground). The 46” lengths are easier to install given the shorter length, and they conform to a sloped line more easily.
I recommend ordering the edging in 14 gauge thickness using ASTM A606, Type 4 or A588 (COR-TEN/weathering steel). The 14 gauge steel is a good balance between bend-ability and stiffness for hammering in. See this video for installation instructions.
Once purchased, you will be provided an email with a link for downloading the files. This link will expire after 24 hours. See the following website for instructions on using .zip files.
